Product Designer

We are looking for a

designer who codes.

Someone who is equally comfortable crafting polished visual designs and implementing them in production code.

This role is ideal for a frontend engineer with strong, hands-on graphic design skills. You will own the visual design of our product experiences and bring them to life through high-quality frontend implementation, with backend work focused on enabling those experiences.

You will work alongside senior full stack engineers who focus on architecture, UX patterns, and frontend-backend integration. Your superpower is visual design execution. You will also be expected to leverage modern AI tools to accelerate design, prototyping, and product development.

A portfolio of visual design work you personally created is required.

About the Role

This role is ideal for a designer who codes, or a frontend engineer with strong, hands-on graphic design skills.

Responsibilities

Design product interfaces end-to-end, from early concepts and wireframes to high-fidelity visual designs and shipped UI. Create and maintain visual design assets including layouts, typography, color systems, and component styling. Implement your designs in modern frontend frameworks with a high level of polish and attention to detail. Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure design intent is preserved through implementation. Build and maintain lightweight backend services as needed to support frontend functionality. Use AI tools to accelerate visual design, prototyping, and frontend development workflows. Continuously refine the product based on feedback, usability testing, and real-world usage.

Qualifications and Required Skills

3+ years of professional experience combining visual design and frontend engineering. A portfolio demonstrating strong visual design work, including layouts, typography, color usage, and UI components you personally designed. Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar. Strong frontend development experience using JavaScript or TypeScript and modern frameworks (Vue, React, or similar). Deep understanding of CSS, responsive design, and accessibility best practices. Working knowledge of Git and modern frontend build tools. Ability to clearly explain design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong attention to visual detail and user experience quality.

Preferred Skills

Backend experience in Go, Python, or similar languages. Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with security-focused products or environments. Background at companies building developer tools, SaaS platforms, or security software. Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools (e.g., generative image tools, AI prototyping, design-to-code workflows). Curiosity and initiative in exploring emerging AI-driven interaction patterns.
