Role Overview

We’re looking for a highly detail‑oriented Product Designer (UI/UX) who thrives in a fast‑paced startup environment and can turn complex workflows and data analyses into elegant, intuitive experiences for the user.

This is a hands‑on, senior IC role with strong product ownership responsibilities, ideal for someone with 5+ years of experience. You will actively shape the user experience by building and scaling our design systems and bridging business and engineering through crisp specs and Figma‑ready designs. You’ll spend roughly 30–50% of your time designing and refining wireframes, prototypes, and flows , and leverage modern tooling (including AI) to move fast without sacrificing quality.

You’ll be onsite in Berlin and work closely with product, engineering, and customer‑facing teams partly distributed across the globe.

What You’ll Do

• Design user‑centric experiences: Create wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity designs that balance usability, speed, and business impact.
• Refine information architecture : Structure navigation, hierarchy, and screen layouts so users can find what they need fast and understand what matters.
• Write engineering‑ready specs : Translate business and user needs into clear tickets and handoffs, incl. edge cases, acceptance criteria, and precise definitions of done.
• Prototype & iterate fast: Use design, prototyping, and AI tools to explore multiple concepts quickly and gather feedback early from stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally: Coordinate tightly with Product, Engineering, and commercial stakeholders to align priorities and ship high‑quality features.
• Conduct product research : Review relevant product and food delivery platform updates, extract useful patterns, and propose UI/UX improvements.
• Conduct user research (as we scale) : Conduct customer interviews and lightweight research to validate problems, test concepts, and guide product decisions.
• Review implementations and flag deviations: Ensure shipped UI matches designs and standards, and proactively highlight inconsistencies for correction.
• Own and evolve the design system: Build and maintain reusable components and guidelines so the product stays consistent as we scale.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of product design experience designing and shipping digital products, ideally in startup or scale‑up environments.
• Strong foundation in UX/UI design , including user flows, interaction design, prototyping, and visual design.
• Design system capability including component libraries, variants, states, and documentation in Figma.
• Data visualization fluency with strong judgment on how to present metrics clearly and intuitively.
• Exceptional attention to detail to ensure maximum usability and consistency in key design elements such as typography, alignment, color coding, etc.
• Strong handoff and specification skills with a track record of writing tickets, edge cases, and acceptance criteria that engineering can implement with minimal ambiguity.
• Clear cross‑functional communication to facilitate alignment between business needs and technical constraints and to collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
