Product Development Chemist Printed Electronics (d/f/m)

About this Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Printed Electronics Chemist to join our Product Development team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, formulation, and optimization of advanced electronic materials - including conductive and dielectric inks - designed for various printing technologies such as screen printing, pad printing, gravure, and flexographic processes. This position is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of chemistry, strong analytical thinking, and hands‑on industry experience in printed electronics.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and formulate novel electronic materials, including conductive, resistive, and dielectric inks.
  • Optimize and scale ink formulations for different printing techniques and substrates.
  • Plan and execute lab experiments and conduct analytical tests and characterization (e.g., viscosity, rheology, conductivity, adhesion, stability).
  • Document experimental plans, results, and technical reports.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends, technologies, and materials in the printed electronics landscape.
  • Monitor the IP landscape and write patent applications in collaboration with internal and external IP partners to secure newly developed technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (business development, application engineering, production, quality) to support material integration into customer applications.

What makes you a good fit

  • Master degree in chemistry, materials science, or a related field (PhD preferred).
  • 3 years of relevant work experience in the product development of electronic materials or ink formulation, ideally in the printed electronics industry.
  • Hands‑on experience with laboratory equipment for material formulation and characterization; experience with printing equipment and processes is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to design and interpret experiments.
  • Fluent English skills, Chinese is a plus.
