This position reports to: Production Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization's assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LIhybrid

This role is contributing to the PL Sub Distribution Enclosures in Germany.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Identifying and recommending improvement opportunities and implements improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements.
• Lead machine and tool sourcing activities but also process automation from demand analysis, supplier screening and collecting offers until final approval in our factory.
• Providing support to Production during the internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources.
• Evaluating new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider choices.
• Plan and adjust the factory layout incl. logistics to improve processes.
• Take over sub-project lead for new product developments to ensure the manufacturing in adherence to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements.

Qualifications for the role

• You have minimum 3 years of experience in project or lean management, machine and equipment sourcing
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of SAP. Windchill considered as a plus
• You are passionate about working in cross functional teams and lead them solutions-oriented.
• You are showing a hands‑on approach and resilience
• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• You are at ease communicating in German and English.
