Production Planner (m/f/d)

We are partnering with a global industrial manufacturing organisation to appoint a Production Planner into a high‑impact role within a complex, engineered production environment.

This position sits at the intersection of production, supply chain and operations, with real ownership over planning outcomes. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical capability with a hands‑on, entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable taking initiative, challenging the status quo and driving practical improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and coordinate production planning activities to ensure on‑time and reliable manufacturing execution
• Balance demand, capacity and material availability across production operations
• Act as a key interface between manufacturing, procurement, supply chain and external suppliers
• Monitor material flows and proactively mitigate supply or capacity risks
• Identify inefficiencies in planning and operational processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Support operational decision‑making through data analysis, reporting and performance tracking
• Contribute to a culture of accountability, ownership and operational excellence

Candidate Profile

• Background in manufacturing planning, production planning, operations or supply chain within an industrial environment
• Strong understanding of production processes and planning methodologies
• Experience working with ERP systems (and ideally MES tools) in a manufacturing context
• Fluent German and English (spoken and written) – this is essential
• Highly analytical, structured and comfortable working with data
• Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, solutions‑oriented and willing to take ownership rather than wait for direction
• Strong communicator, confident working cross‑functionally with both operational and commercial stakeholders
