Within Corporate Bank Production, this role functions as a Production Support Engineer in the Data Controls domain. The position involves resolving complex issues, working with large datasets, and building expertise in transaction monitoring functions to maintain data integrity and completeness.

The role focuses on ensuring accurate and reliable transaction data used for monitoring and filtering. Data Controls support daily reconciliation of payments and related transactions so that complete and accurate information reaches the Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) team through the EAP and GCP platforms or direct feeds.

Teams responsible for TMDC and TFDC controls manage daily operational activities such as reviewing non‑STP transactions, investigating discrepancies, resolving anomalies, and coordinating with technology teams to correct issues. Any irregularities are escalated to managers and relevant stakeholders, including the AFC team.

The position also involves producing analytics and reports that strengthen control processes. This includes maintaining high data quality standards and delivering insights through dashboards and KPIs while performing quality assurance checks that support operational and technical objectives.

A key objective is to ensure high quality transaction data that supports the Anti‑Financial Crime program. This work contributes to the rollout of a global Transaction Monitoring and Transaction Filtering process across more than 33 countries.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Work as a Production Support Engineer within the Corporate Bank production team, providing second level application support in a 24/7 operational model.
  • Handle business as usual support requests from stakeholders within defined service level agreements and maintain application stability.
  • Assist with incident management and problem resolution, including complex issue investigation and applying structured troubleshooting approaches.
  • Collaborate with developers and architects to debug systems and deliver scalable, supportable solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Analyze issues using a logical and systematic approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Create and maintain documentation such as requirements, process flows, and user guides, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Represent user and business needs while interacting with development teams.
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Use data querying and analytical techniques to support reporting and operational insights.
  • Promote continuous service improvement by reducing manual processes, improving monitoring, and increasing system availability.
  • Encourage engineering practices, automation, and innovation across production support teams.
  • Support knowledge sharing by training and mentoring team members.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Hands‑on experience with databases such as Oracle and strong ability to write SQL or PL/SQL scripts.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions independently.
  • Knowledge of business and functional analysis methodologies and related tools.
  • Experience using data analysis tools or programming languages such as Python, SQL, or R, preferably within cloud or big data environments.
  • Understanding of payments systems, industry data protocols, and SWIFT messaging.
  • Experience documenting requirements and producing technical or business documentation.
  • Ability to work with business stakeholders to create business requirement documents and technical specifications.
  • Experience handling complex requirements including data mapping, data modelling, data migration, and system integration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
