Your Tasks
The successful candidate will contribute to research, teaching and academic administration in the Operations Management Department. The candidate is expected to teach in the fields operations management and healthcare management (B.Sc. and M.Sc. level) in English. The candidate should contribute to one of the faculty's key research areas ( ) and willingness to engage in interdisciplinary research together with the Faculty of Medicine is expected.
Your Profile
We are seeking an outstanding academic in health operations management. The candidate should have publications in healthcare management or health operations management, among them publications in leading journals listed in the UTD24 or FT50 rankings. Furthermore, the candidate should have a strong publication record in the field of health service research. The candidate should be experienced in teaching, such as core courses in health operations, and courses in healthcare management (finance, management accounting) and/or health economics. Ideally, the candidate has research and teaching experience abroad.

The position is available as of January 2027 (or at the earliest possible date). Formal requirements are detailed in Section 36 of the Higher Education Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (Hochschulgesetz - HG NRW). As a rule, the teaching load comprises nine semester hours per week (i.e., two hours per week is one 90-minute course per semester).
