W2 TT W3-professorship for knowledge-based systems (w/m/d) at the Institute for Information Systems (IFIS) at the University of Lübeck. The professorship is initially limited to 5 years at W2, with the possibility of extension and simultaneous promotion to W3 upon positive evaluation.
The holder of the professorship should establish their own working group at the Institute for Information Systems and:
Previous experience in human‑centered AI, intelligent systems, and robotics is an advantage. The holder is expected to collaborate within IFIS and computer science, connect to medical informatics and other institutes at the university, and collaborate with the university's Scientific Computing department. Acquisition of third‑party funding and initiation of interdisciplinary projects are part of the role.
The successful candidate will take over the “Databases” lecture and participate in the “Computer Science” (Bachelor’s and Master’s, German‑language) and “Artificial Intelligence” (Master’s, part‑time, English‑language) degree programs, as well as other STEM sections.
Applicants are expected to contribute scientifically to the institute’s research priorities and the university’s profile areas, in particular LEMMI (Lübeck Environments for Minds and Machines in Interaction) and “Human‑AI Interaction.”
