Program Manager (m/w/d) in Garching at TUM School of Engineering and Design – Full‑time, permanent position

Job Overview

The Academic and Student Affairs (ASA) team at the TUM School of Engineering and Design invites applications for a Program Manager to support the designated location in Garching. The role involves administrative support, quality management, and strategic planning for multiple master programmes.

Responsibilities

• Administrative support for Master programmes in Industrial Biotechnology, Human Factors Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering (student advising, exam management, timetable creation, admission procedures).
• Coordination, organization and execution of quality‑management activities, including preparation and follow‑up of reports (annual reports, quality circles, re‑accreditations).
• Strategic planning and conceptual development for the three Master programmes within the ED teaching portfolio.
• Process optimisation and development of administrative procedures for the programmes.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent scientific degree, preferably in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in a university setting, especially in university administration.
• Proficiency in MS Office and willingness to learn TUM‑specific software tools.
• Fluent in German and English (verbal and written).
