Merri‑bek is embarking on a major digital transformation, and we’re looking for an experienced Program Manager to lead one of the most significant change initiatives in our organisation’s history — the implementation of the TechnologyOne OneCouncil ERP solution. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of how our community is served.

About the role

We are seeking a highly specialised Program Manager to drive the end-to‑end delivery of the ERP transformation, overseeing the master schedule, managing external partners, and ensuring the program is delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. You’ll play a pivotal role in aligning people, processes, and technology to build organisational readiness and embed sustainable change across Council operations.

Skills and experience required to perform the role

We're looking for an experienced Program Manager to lead our TechnologyOne ERP implementation

  • Proven track record leading large‑scale ERP implementations from start to finish, preferably TechnologyOne or similar enterprise systems
  • Accountability of the master schedule
  • Strong program management expertise including budget management, scheduling, risk management, and executive‑level reporting
  • Experience delivering technical and operational change while ensuring clear stakeholder engagement across diverse teams and all levels across Council
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee business process redesign and system integration across multiple functional areas (finance, HR, payroll, procurement, assets, customer service)
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of building collaborative teams, managing external vendors, and delivering complex programs
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and formal project/program management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)

You thrive in environments where people, process, and technology intersect, and you bring a confident, collaborative, and strategic approach to change. Your ability to influence, engage, and inspire will be key to the success of this program.
