Project Manager: Building Automation (German Fluent)

Reporting to the Site Facility Manager, this is a newly created position for an experienced Project Manager to take full ownership of building automation across a large, technically complex semiconductor site in Germany.

This role has been created to introduce clear responsibility and long-term ownership of building automation, an area that is becoming increasingly critical as the site continues to evolve. Until now, responsibility has been shared across several functions; this hire will change that.

As the Project Manager – Building Automation, you will be responsible for

• End-to-end delivery of building automation and control system projects
• Developing, modernising and integrating building automation and control systems across the siteActing as the technical and project lead for building automation initiatives
• Coordinating internal teams, suppliers and external partners
• Supporting knowledge transfer and succession planning within the team
• Establishing structure, standards and long-term strategy for building automation

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in building automation / building control technology
• Hands‑on experience delivering automation projects on complex or large‑scale sites
• Ability to operate independently and take ownership, particularly in the first year
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
• German language skills are essential; English is beneficial

Further details

• Site-based role with limited home office flexibility due to the hands‑on nature of the work
• 40‑hour contract (35 hours possible on a pro‑rata basis)
• Salary up to €90,000
