Project Manager Industrial Electrification (f/m/d)
Are you passionate about promising strategies and technologies to decarbonise industrial production? Do you bring expertise in the technical, economic, and policy aspects of industrial electrification? Are you excited to work in a diverse, multi-disciplinary and international team? Then, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Three quarters of industrial CO2 emissions result from burning fossil fuels that provide process heat. Prominent scenarios for climate neutrality feature the use of low‑carbon electricity as a key strategy to decarbonize industrial process heat. A broad range of electrification technologies in industry are already viable today. To tap into this potential, quickly ramping up technologies for the direct electrification of process heat at all temperature levels is key, and smart policies are needed across the value chain that help scale up industry’s direct use of renewable electricity. The next years will be critical to increase the pace of industrial electrification globally.
Under the umbrella of the Agora Think Tanks, Agora Industry develops politically feasible and science‑based strategies and solutions for the transformation to climate neutrality – in Germany, Europe, and internationally. As a think tank and policy lab we facilitate a productive exchange of ideas among stakeholders from politics, business, science and civil society. As a non‑partisan, non‑profit organisation funded by foundations and public institutions, we are independent of corporate and partisan interests. Our exclusive mission is to serve the climate and the common good.
