Your Tasks

• Acquisition of complex new projects: compiling documentation for international tenders (expressions of interest, technical and financial offers)
• Conceptual design and/or implementation of new complex international consulting concepts/programmes/financing instruments/technical assistance applying latest standards and frameworks in sustainable finance
• Relationship management with and identification of new strategic customers incl. fundraising activities with international donors and governmental bodies and experts
• Management of projects/programmes, including provision of key content input, coordination of and correspondence important stakeholders, ensuring solid operation and monitoring; i.e. high standards of project management
• Financial modeling, i.e. to assess financial viability and calculate financial indicators as well as other indicators relevant to public and private sector funded projects
• Development of new training concepts and products as well as preparation of training material

Your Profile

• University degree in the area of finance and/or economics
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive work experience in an international setting, dealing with climate/sustainable finance and natural resources management
• Extensive experience with management, implementation and appraisal of projects in developing countries and emerging markets
• Experience in dealing with governments, private sector, international financial institutions, development finance institutions
• Very good understanding of the various aspects of climate and development policies as well as international climate change developments as well as knowledge of financing renewable energy and energy efficiency projects
• Commercial banking experience (product development, processes, risk management etc.) would be an advantage
• Languages: fluency in English, proficiency in German, French and/or Spanish is desirable
• Intercultural awareness, international mobility and ability to work under time pressure
