Our Client

A global tier 1 automation and intralogistics leader is seeking an assertive, commercially astute and operationally strong Project Manager to lead major warehouse automation programs across VIC and ANZ.

With a strong pipeline of enterprise retail and e-commerce investments - including a $35M warehouse automation deployment in Melbourne - the business continues to scale its' Autonomous Mobile Robotics (AMR), AGV and integrated distribution centre capabilities across the region.

The Opportunity

You will own end-to-end delivery of large-scale warehouse automation programs - across AMRs, AGVs, Goods-to-Person systems, conveyors, racking and full systems integration.

Operating primarily onsite (75-85%), you will lead complex brownfield deployments within live DC environments, coordinating internal streams, external vendors and executive stakeholders.

This is a true senior delivery leadership role - acting as the primary client-facing authority across operational, technical and commercial workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end AMR and warehouse automation project delivery - scoping, planning, execution, monitoring and closure.

  • Own accountability for all project deliverables across AMR systems, software integration, IT & network requirements, conveyor and racking implementations.

  • Operate as part of a complex program delivery model alongside software PM streams, automation PM streams and vendor management functions.

  • Collaborate with clients and vendors to gather requirements, develop project plans and ensure successful solution delivery.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (IT, Operations, Vendors) to ensure seamless execution within live DC environments.

  • Manage project schedules, budgets, governance documentation and executive reporting.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and managing escalations.

  • Proactively identify and manage risks, lead regular project meetings and ensure compliance with governance and safety frameworks.

  • Step confidently into brownfield environments, managing change control and recovery where required.

About You

You are a strong, assertive and pragmatic delivery leader who thrives in complexity.

You will bring structure to fast-paced environments and are comfortable managing multiple stakeholders across operational, technical and commercial workstreams.

You communicate confidently at all levels - from site supervisors through to executive steering committees - and you take pride in delivering high-impact automation programs that transform distribution centre performance.

You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or a related field.

  • 5+ years' experience in project and/or vendor management within supply chain or automation environments.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering automation, robotics, conveyor and racking system implementations.

  • Proven brownfield site delivery experience (greenfield exposure also valued).

  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional, multi-stakeholder programs.

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and governance frameworks.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capability.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and multitasking abilities in fast-paced environments.

This is more than a project management role - it's an opportunity to lead some of the largest AMR and warehouse automation deployments in VIC and ANZ, transforming live DC operations within a global, innovation-driven organisation.
