Job Description

Quality Assurance Engineer - Software, Audio und Hardwareintegration (m/f/d)

Job Location: Germany – Berlin

Since 1928, our legendary products have made us one of the world’s best‑known brands in the field of professional audio. Today, more than 80 percent of the world’s recording studios use Neumann microphones, loudspeakers, and headphones for music recording and other productions – in broadcasting, gaming, film, and more. As part of the Sennheiser Group, Neumann stands for legendary sound – handmade in Germany.

Our home is Berlin – here we plan and develop products that inspire professionals and an increasing number of semi‑professional users such as podcasters and bedroom producers in their home studios.

Your Tasks

  • Perform tests on our professional audio software products within the overall system, including studio monitors, audio interfaces, and network components.
  • Build and maintain test setups and document them thoroughly.
  • Develop test plans, test cases, and test reports, and actively contribute to defining our quality criteria.
  • Analyze, reproduce, and prioritize complex issues across all system components.
  • Work closely with software, firmware, and DSP developers and support them in root‑cause analysis.
  • Implement automated test procedures and contribute to the continuous improvement of our CI/CD test pipelines.
  • Play an active role in establishing a professional test laboratory and shaping sustainable testing processes.
  • Support the entire product development lifecycle – from initial concept to final product delivered to the customer.

Your Qualifications

  • Successfully completed a degree in electrical engineering, information technology, computer engineering, or a comparable field.
  • Experience in testing technical systems or software, including manual and automated test methods, and familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for test automation.
  • Hands‑on experience with professional audio hardware or audio software and eagerness to work with real hardware setups and studio environments.
  • Ability to systematically analyze, reproduce, and document complex issues across various system components.
  • Enjoyment of working with cabling, network configuration, and building reliable test environments.
  • Basic understanding of software development and comfort collaborating with cross‑functional engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English, combined with strong teamwork, self‑organization, and a structured work style.
  • Experience with relevant technical tools and technologies, including network protocols/Audio‑over‑IP or embedded systems, analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, log parsers, audio measurement software), and test management or CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps.

  • Flexible working models: flexible hours and mobile work options to balance professional and personal life.
