Rail Design Engineer

Project Overview

I am currently supporting a leading engineering consultancy on a major rail infrastructure programme in Germany. They are seeking a Freelance Rail Station Design Engineer with strong experience on Deutsche Bahn AG projects to support the design and delivery of station modernisation and upgrade works.

• Design and coordination of railway station infrastructure (platforms, access, buildings)
• Preparation of planning documents (LPH 1–6 HOAI)
• Interface management with multidisciplinary teams (civil, architectural, MEP)
• Technical review and optimisation of designs
• Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
• Solid understanding of German rail standards (EBO) and HOAI phases
• German Language (B2+)
