R&D Project Management Intern

About the Role

Join the Xiaomi EV R&D team and gain hands-on experience supporting complex vehicle development programs. This internship offers exposure to cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced engineering environment and provides valuable insight into automotive project execution.

Responsibilities

• Support project planning and execution, including scope definition, timeline tracking, and resource coordination
• Facilitate communication across engineering, design, procurement, and testing teams
• Maintain and organize project documentation, including meeting summaries and change tracking
• Assist in identifying and tracking project risks and issues
• Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and support progress reporting
• Contribute to budget and resource monitoring under guidance from senior team members
• Support data analysis and reporting using common project management tools

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline
• Interest in automotive systems and R&D project environments
• Basic understanding of project management principles (e.g., Agile or Waterfall)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with project management software is advantageous
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English
• Proactive mindset with willingness to learn in a dynamic environment
• Previous internship or academic project experience in engineering or project coordination is welcome but not required.
