Position Details

Position: History Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $20–$40/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Author realistic history prompts spanning historical analysis, historiographical comparison, primary source interpretation, timelines, and cause-and-effect reasoning.
• Review and revise AI-generated responses for factual accuracy, nuance, contextual depth, and cultural authenticity.
• Write high-quality human-authored “gold” responses for complex or interpretive historical questions.
• Create controlled prompt variations that test subtle differences in time period, geographic region, political context, or historiographical framing.
• Evaluate outputs across different tones (academic, explanatory, narrative) and instruction constraints.
• Identify model failure cases involving anachronisms, oversimplification, biased framing, or culturally inconsistent interpretations.

Qualifications – Must-Have

• 2+ years of sustained, serious engagement with history as a hobby or scholarly pursuit.
• Active participation in historical discourse within at least one of the following languages: Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Russian, German, Arabic, Thai, Tamil, or Hindi.
• Strong familiarity with regional history, historiographical traditions, and culturally specific perspectives within your language context.
• Ability to articulate historical arguments and contextual analysis clearly in the target language.
• Strong written communication skills and thoughtful editorial judgment.
