About the role

As a Renewal Specialist, your journey with the customer begins well before their contract expires. You are responsible for ensuring a seamless renewal experience, protecting recurring revenue, and identifying opportunities to expand customer value across our product portfolio.

You will own the full renewal lifecycle and upsell sales cycles for your assigned accounts, ensuring contracts are executed on time, risks are mitigated, and customers clearly understand the value they receive from our solutions. You work proactively to minimize churn while identifying low‑complexity upsell opportunities that support ARR growth.

You will manage customers across FO and BC product lines, collaborating closely with Customer Success, Sales, Finance, and RevOps to maintain a healthy and growing SaaS subscription base.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full renewal process for assigned accounts, from proactive outreach through contract execution, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare renewal quotes, coordinate approvals, manage signatures, and monitor contract terms, discounts, and timelines to prevent revenue leakage.
  • Identify renewal risks early and collaborate with Customer Success Managers to address customer concerns and secure retention.
  • Conduct proactive outreach to customers approaching renewal, clearly communicating pricing updates, product changes, and renewal terms, and discover upsell opportunities.
  • Process churn and downsell opportunities for B–D segment customers while partnering with CSMs on MVP and A segment accounts.
  • Identify and qualify simple upsell opportunities such as additional users, modules, support packages, or AI add‑ons.
  • Promote adoption of new features to drive expansion and increased customer value.
  • Maintain accurate renewal forecasts and pipeline reporting, tracking ARR, churn, contraction, and expansion metrics.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on renewal progress and revenue impact.
  • Partner with RevOps to ensure systems, tools, and processes support renewal efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Communicate customer insights internally to inform product development and go‑to‑market initiatives.

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of SaaS subscription models and renewal dynamics, combined with a customer‑centric mindset and a disciplined approach to operational excellence. You are commercially aware, detail‑oriented, and confident engaging customers in renewal and upsell conversations.

  • Approximately 3 or more years of experience managing renewals in a SaaS environment
  • Background in renewals, inside sales, or revenue‑focused customer management
  • Experience identifying and processing low‑complexity upsell opportunities
  • Exposure to forecasting, pipeline management, and revenue reporting
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, quoting tools, and renewal workflows
  • Understanding of ARR, churn, pricing, discounting, and contract mechanics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
