Requirements Engineering (Model Based System Engineer)

Overview

We are looking for an experienced systems engineer who can take ownership of model-based systems engineering activities and requirements management across the entire project lifecycle. You will work closely with cross-functional partners, build high-quality SysML models, maintain system architecture in Cameo, and support teams with clear technical documentation and structured processes. This role suits someone who knows how to translate complex technical needs into clean models and traceable requirements, and who enjoys working with both engineering teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop system architectures and algorithms using MBSE methods, focusing on Cameo Systems Modeler.
• Create and maintain SysML models that include functional, logical and physical system views.
• Prepare and review technical documentation and system specifications.
• Lead and support workshops with internal teams, customers and other stakeholders.
• Manage requirements throughout the full lifecycle using tools like DOORS or Codebeamer.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, architecture and system models.
• Support interface definitions, system behavior descriptions and system interaction modeling.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of modeling standards, templates and methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in automotive engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering or a similar field.
• At least 1 year of professional experience in systems or requirements engineering.
• Strong understanding of system architecture and model-based systems engineering principles.
• Hands-on experience with system modeling tools such as Cameo.
• Solid knowledge of SysML and a structured modeling approach.
• MBSE certifications or training are an advantage.
• Familiarity with requirements engineering methods and tools (DOORS, codebeamer).
• Strong analytical thinking, clear communication and confident documentation skills.
• Fluency in German and English.
