Research assistant (f/m/d)

The Heidelberg Institute of Global Health (HIGH) is looking for a research assistant (HiWi) to assist with several projects in the research group.

The group works on the link between shingles vaccination and dementia (see: (link is external); (link is external); (link is external)), as well as vaccines, infections, and chronic diseases more generally.

Data sources for our work in this area are large-scale electronic health record data, medical claims data, mortality registries, and epidemiological cohort studies.

Your Tasks

The HiWi will work under the guidance of Dr. Pascal Geldsetzer and other researchers at Heidelberg and Stanford University. Working remotely is possible. There is no fixed start date – the team is hiring on an ongoing basis. HiWis should be available for at least six months. A medical background is not needed. The HiWi will be an author on publications to which he/she has contributed.

Your Profile

• must have: good communication skills in English (knowledge of German is not necessary)
• enrolled student
