We offer a vibrant research and teaching environment in a broad research group in Algebra. Specifically, research within the group is among the fields of algebraic groups, finite groups of Lie type, complex reflection groups and hyperplane arrangements.

■ Meeting with undergraduate students

■ Conducting seminars and supervision of undergraduate students

■ Coorganization of meetings and workshops

• Applicants must have an academic degree (completed PhD) in a relevant mathematical field in algebra. Research experience in the theory of Kac-Moody groups, ind-varieties and the theory of twin buildings are mandatory.
• The appointee will be required to contribute to the teaching portfolio of the department (4 hours per week).

The position is salaried and based on the collective agreement of the Länder (TV-L).If the personal and collective agreement requirements are met, the employee will receive pay grade E 13 TV-L.

The place of work is Ruhr University Bochum.
The load of teaching will be calculated according to § 3 of Lehrverpflichtungsverordnung (state of North Rhine-Westphalia).
