Research Scientist (gn) Protein Sciences with focus on membrane proteins

Contribution to multidisciplinary teams with own scientific expertise to achieve corporate and customer goals of challenging drug discovery projects
Independent planning and execution of research projects within the field of membrane proteins (GPCRs, ion-channels, transporters) and challenging soluble proteins
Evaluation of new technology and/or equipment to constantly improve the membrane protein platform
Preparation of all relevant project documentation (i.e. project plans, SOPs, scientific presentations, technical reports)
Presentation of the scientific results as well as convincing and confident communication of the content to colleagues, customers, and business partners

PhD in biochemistry or related field with an excellent proven track record
Strong acquaintance with regard to structure-based construct design, expression and purification of membrane proteins and soluble proteins.
Profound knowledge in structural biology, e.g. Xray and/or cryoEM
Hands-on experience in expression and purification of membrane and soluble proteins in bacterial, insect and/or mammalian cells for structural and biophysical applications.
Hands-on mentality with a problem-solving mindset and attention to details
Independent, service-oriented way of working, with an outstanding team spirit and excellent organization and communication skills
