• Research on data-driven methods, particularly on data reduction and compression in interaction with the photon science groups
• Supporting research on multiscale and data-driven simulation technologies (molecular-continuum simulations)
• Supporting research in heterogeneous computing, in particular hardware-portable programming for high energy physics
• Supporting the IT head at coordinating the research group
• Teaching support (with UHH)
• Supporting the application for third-party projects
