Rust Full-Stack Developer – Energy Systems (m/f/d)

Your Role

As a Rust Full-Stack Developer at Redox One, you’ll help design and implement software that powers our energy storage systems — from embedded device control to cloud monitoring and user-facing dashboards. You’ll work in a small, interdisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, developers, and researchers, directly shaping the future of renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development
Build, test, document, deploy, and maintain software components for battery and energy management systems, monitoring solutions, and operator interfaces.
Design and implement frontend interfaces that visualize both real-time and historical data for local operators and fleet-wide monitoring.

Architecture & Infrastructure
Collaborate with our solution architect to develop scalable software architectures and migrate legacy systems to modern solutions.
Maintain CI/CD pipelines and hardware testing environments.
Develop robust systems for commissioning, updating, and securing devices in the field.

Operations & Support
Provide second- and third-level support for software incidents.
Contribute to continuous improvements across the product lifecycle.

Desired Qualifications

We’re looking for engineers who think in terms of platforms, automation, and scalability. You should have:

• Solid programming experience in Rust (professional or open source).
• Experience in at least one major frontend ecosystem (React, Angular, Next.js, Svelte, etc.), with a track record of building functional UIs for complex systems.
• Experience with IoT devices, embedded Linux environments, and hardware integration.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Additional experience in any of the following is a plus:

• C/C++ or other statically typed, compiled languages.
• Advanced data visualization and digital twin concepts.
• Cloud or on-premises system infrastructure (databases, messaging, telemetry).
• Electrical or battery systems, factory plants, or industrial controls.
• Localization / Internationalization.
• German language skills.

You must be an EU resident or otherwise legally eligible to work in Germany.
