PACE Engineering and IT, part of the TXT Group, is seeking an experienced Avionics Systems Engineer to lead the development of safety‑critical avionics systems for civil or military airborne platforms. In this strategic role, you will define system architecture and drive the technical development of flight control and vehicle management systems, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and leading industry partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and technical development of system architectures for safety‑critical functions, including flight control and vehicle management.
- Plan and oversee the full systems engineering lifecycle: requirements definition, design, integration, verification, validation, and qualification.
- Coordinate the creation of technical documentation and deliverables, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and traceability.
- Develop and maintain certification and compliance documentation, ensuring continuous alignment with aviation regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure technical alignment and effective communication across teams.
- Provide regular updates and technical reports to Chief Engineering and Programme Management, highlighting progress, key risks, and engineering changes.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Essential Technical Skills
- Proven experience in the design and development of safety‑critical hardware and software for airborne platforms.
- Deep knowledge of avionics systems and application of standards such as ARP4754, ARP4761, DO-178C, and DO-254.
- Demonstrated collaboration with at least one civil or military aviation authority during the certification process.
- Strong technical foundation in Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) and air vehicle management systems.
Behavioral Skills
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
Languages
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Experience Level

- Senior: 6+ years
