Overview

You are responsible for sales of our products and battery raw materials in a B2B environment, building long-term customer relationships, particularly in the waste management industry. You manage the entire sales process – from lead generation and proposal creation to closing. You take ownership of key account management for strategic existing customers, developing sustainable partnerships. You actively use our CRM system to track, document and develop sales opportunities. You actively contribute to the development of our sales processes, using digital tools to work more efficiently and improve workflows. You work closely with Production, Business Management, Public Relations and Marketing to incorporate customer needs into our product development. At trade fairs and conferences, you represent cylib and inspire customers and partners with our products. You monitor market and price developments in the raw materials sector and use this information directly in customer conversations and proposals.

Your profile

  • You hold a degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a comparable field.
  • Building on this, you bring 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales, ideally with technical products.
  • Experience in commodity trading or the recycling industry is a strong plus.
  • You communicate clearly, listen well and quickly build trust with customers.
  • You work in a structured way, keep track of priorities and follow through consistently.
  • You are confident with digital tools and use CRM systems, Excel and AI assistants as a natural part of your daily work.
  • You are a team player and take great pride in the quality of your work.
  • You have excellent German language skills – many of our customers are based in German-speaking markets. You are also proficient in English.

About Us

cylib is a research-based German scaleup for holistic battery recycling - starting from discharging to recovery of all components of the lithium battery - that was founded in Aachen in 2022 by three visionary founders, including a female CEO.

Our process

The cylib process offers a complete end-to-end process from battery pack to green battery material by employing a combination of mechanical and thermal pre-treatments and an innovative water-based lithium and graphite recovery. Unlike incumbents, cylib can therefore recover battery materials such as lithium, graphite or manganese. The process was developed over several years of research at the renowned RWTH Aachen University and offers an efficient, resource- and climate friendly recovery of all battery materials from end-of-life batteries. cylib\'s technology enables the recovery of all battery components regardless of whether it is an end-of-life battery or not. Recovery of green secondary raw materials from the cylib process enables the realization of the true Circular Economy on the European market.
