Overview

Our client is an impact driven, remote-first, Data & AI startup headquartered in Berlin with the goal to revolutionise engineering design evaluations, first by cutting down the energy required for the engineering design cycle of manufacturers. This is a unique hybrid role that combines technical and sales acumen, with a strong emphasis on managing high-value, long-cycle technical sales and engaging with both technical and business stakeholders. This is not a conventional technical engineering role, nor a straight up sales role. It requires a strong technical understanding (Software Engineering, Data Science & Mechanical Engineering) but also strong and sales acumen. The Sales Executive will work very closely with the Account Management Lead, the CEO, and the other co-founders.

This is unique opportunity to join an early-stage DeepTech company before their next fundign round (Series A).

Key Responsibilities

  • Discovery and Needs Analysis
  • Conduct discovery calls to understand the client’s pain points, objectives, and specific requirements
  • Analyze their current workflows and data challenges to tailor the solution to meettheir unique needs
  • Solution Customization and Value Proposition
  • Customize product demos and presentations to showcase how the solution solves the client’s specific problems
  • Proposal and Quotation Preparation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide an accurate quote, addressing pricing, contract terms, and any specific requests
  • Handling Objections and Negotiations
  • Documentation and Proposal Review
  • Building and Managing the Relationship
  • Sales Handover and Transition
  • Work with Application Engineers to ensure that the solution is implemented effectively, and the client’s goals are met
  • Lead Customer meetings (Technical & Business)
  • Demonstrate the platform, identify pain points, qualify the client
  • Prioritize the account and identify close dates according to the product status and roadmap
  • Lead and orient the technical team to work towards closing client opportunities (short term) and closely monitor product development progress and the future client status within product evolvement.
  • Close opportunities with client (technical & management) (all the way until PO signature)

Desired Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in deep tech B2B sales environments (ideally, startup culture).
  • Technical background in engineering applications
  • Must have business understanding to translate technical information into business language, especially cost savings and clear benefits to client management
  • Great and proven presentation and communication skills (details-oriented) (English)
  • Client network in DACH
