Sales Manager – Freight Forwarding & Logistics

We are looking for a Sales Manager - Freight Forwarding & Logistics (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible in our location Eschborn.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • New Customer Acquisition: Proactively identify and acquire new business customers in the international logistics and freight forwarding sector
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market analyses to identify growth opportunities and trends in the logistics sector
  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and expand the customer portfolio
  • Participation in Industry Events
  • Customer Support: Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through regular meetings and needs analyses
  • Contract Negotiations: Conduct contract negotiations and finalize contracts, taking into account company objectives and policies
  • Operational Support: Assist with operational processing, customs clearance, and container coordination
  • Communication and Planning: Communicate with shipping companies and terminals and establish strategic supplier relationships

Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience in sales and logistics
  • In-depth understanding of the freight forwarding market (sea freight, air freight, and land transport)
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills combined with a sales aptitude
  • Good knowledge of standard MS Office tools and CRM/Salesforce
  • Fluent communication skills in English and German
  • General familiarity with the operation of a Transport Management System (TMS)
  • Willingness to travel throughout Germany and participate in industry events
  • Class B driver's license
