AI Futures has been retained to hire a SAP BW / BI Engineer for an internationally recognised consumer goods and food manufacturing group headquartered in Germany.

As part of an ongoing technology modernisation programme, the organisation is investing in the evolution of its SAP-based data landscape, including the optimisation of its SAP BW environment and the exploration of next-generation technologies such as SAP Datasphere.

This role offers the opportunity to work with both established SAP data warehouse environments and modern SAP data platform technologies within a stable, internationally recognised organisation.

The Role

This position focuses on the development, optimisation and evolution of the company’s SAP-based data platform, which supports enterprise reporting and analytics across multiple business functions.

You will work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to design scalable data models and reliable data pipelines that enable high-quality reporting and analytics.

The company is also exploring the future integration of SAP Datasphere, providing the opportunity to gain exposure to modern SAP data architecture initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise SAP BW data models (ADSO, InfoProviders, Process Chains)
• Integrate SAP ERP data (FI / CO / MM / SD) into structured data warehouse models
• Design and maintain data loading processes and pipelines within the SAP BW environment
• Support ETL processes and data integration across multiple systems
• Enable reporting and analytics use cases using BI tools such as Qlik Sense or similar platforms
• Collaborate with finance and operational stakeholders to improve reporting and analytics capabilities
• Contribute to the ongoing modernisation of the SAP data platform, including exploration of SAP Datasphere

Tech Environment

• SAP BW / BW on HANA
• SAP ERP (FI / CO / MM / SD)
• SAP Datasphere (future roadmap)
• Qlik Sense and enterprise BI tools
• Talend ETL
• SQL and enterprise data modelling

What They Are Looking For

• Experience working with SAP BW, SAP BI, or similar enterprise data warehouse platforms
• Experience working with SAP data or ERP environments
• SQL and data modelling knowledge
• Experience with BI tools such as Qlik, Power BI, Tableau or similar
• Exposure to ETL tools such as Talend or comparable technologies
• Strong communication skills and experience working with business stakeholders
