SAP ePPDS Consultant (m/f/d); FREELANCE; GERMANY

Overview

I am currently looking for a Freelance SAP ePPDS Consultant (m/f/d) for an international project in the discrete manufacturing industry to support advanced production planning and detailed scheduling activities in Germany.

Project Details

• Start: ASAP
• Duration: 6 months (extension expected)
• Capacity: Full-time
• Remote and on-site share: Approx. 1-2 onsite assignments per month in Oberkochen
• Project languages: English (Fluent), German is a big plus

Required Skills & Experience

• 8-10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP PP/PPDS or ePPDS
• Strong experience in Make-to-Order (MTO) production environments
• Proven expertise in:
  • aATP
  • Variant Configuration
  • CDP Planning
  • Heuristics development
  • PPDS Optimizer
• Solid background in the discrete manufacturing industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a freelance setup

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and optimize SAP ePPDS / PPDS solutions in a Make-to-Order (MTO) / SBC environment
• Implement and enhance aATP scenarios to support complex order promising requirements
• Develop and customize heuristics for detailed scheduling and capacity planning
• Work extensively with the PPDS Optimizer to improve planning quality, lead times, and resource utilization
• Support Variant Configuration and CDP Planning processes within SAP
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into robust PPDS/ePPDS solutions
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, planners, and technical teams
• Support testing, go-live preparation, and post-go-live stabilization
• Provide expert guidance and best practices in advanced production planning
