Role: SAP EWM L1 Support
Location: Alzey, Germany

Must-have skills

• SAP EWM knowledge and German speaking
• Warehouse operations experience and customer-facing role
• Willingness to work in shifts, including night shift

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 support for the EWM business team.
• Coordinate with client business teams and support day‑to‑day operations, resolve L1 issues and raise incidents for connected teams.
• Build and maintain customer confidence through daily coordination.
• Use SNOW ticketing tool and work in EWM space in ECC EWM 9.5 or S/4 HANA EWM 1909 and onwards.
• Understand integration with Warehouse Automation and MES systems, and other satellite systems/vendors for issue analysis and resolution.
• Coordinate with the EWM IT team for change requests and informal testing.
• Propose workarounds for issues requiring immediate resolution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in EWM warehouse support or support projects.
• Experience integrating EWM with automated systems such as ASRS, AGV, LIFT, Scheduler, AMR, conveyors, pallet exchangers, etc.
• Experience integrating EWM with MES and S/4 modules like Manufacturing and Quality Management.
• Strong knowledge of IM areas: Inventory Management, Stock transfers, Special stocks, Stock types, Physical Inventory, Account Determination and Valuation.
• Knowledge of EWM areas: Integration with ECC, Inbound/Outbound Processing, Physical Inventory, RF Transactions, HU Management, Transport Units, Production Integration, Kitting, Cold chain management.
• Good understanding of integration with SD, MM, PP and QM modules.
• Experience in the life sciences/pharmaceutical domain, with awareness of GXP and SOX requirements.
• Experience in release governance processes, incident management tools and testing tools.
• Post‑go‑live stabilization and critical issue resolution experience.
• Experience working with non‑ECC systems like MES, WES via interfaces such as PI, ALE, REST.
• Basic understanding of custom code and debugging skills.
