SAP FICO Architect – S/4HANA Transformation

We are hiring an experienced SAP FICO Architect for a long‑term S/4HANA implementation program in Frankfurt, Germany.

This is a 6‑month contract with remote flexibility. On‑site presence will be required during key phases including design workshops, UAT, and Go‑Live.

About the Role

You will play a key leadership role within a large‑scale S/4HANA transformation in the manufacturing environment, owning the end‑to‑end Finance and Controlling solution architecture .

As SAP FICO Architect, you will define the finance template, drive architectural decisions, ensure integration across modules, and act as the senior finance lead across business and IT stakeholders.

This role requires strong S/4HANA Finance architecture experience, deep configuration knowledge, and multiple full lifecycle implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the SAP S/4HANA Finance solution architecture (FI/CO)
• Lead global design workshops and define finance template standards
• Architect and oversee configuration across GL, AP, AR, AA, New Asset Accounting, CO-CCA, CO-PCA, Internal Orders, Product Costing, and Margin Analysis
• Design integration architecture with MM, SD, PP, EWM, and other logistics modules
• Define finance data migration, chart of accounts design, and controlling structures
• Drive best‑practice adoption aligned with S/4HANA Finance capabilities
• Oversee SIT, UAT, cutover strategy, and Go‑Live readiness
• Provide architectural governance and quality assurance
• Act as the key escalation point for finance‑related solution decisions

Required Experience

• 12+ years SAP FICO experience with several end‑to‑end implementations
• Proven experience as SAP FICO Lead or SAP Finance Architect
• Strong S/4HANA Finance implementation expertise (including Universal Journal and New Asset Accounting)
• Deep understanding of finance integration with logistics and manufacturing processes
• Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or machine manufacturing industries
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
• Fluent German and English (mandatory)
• Availability to travel to Stuttgart during key project phases
