About the role
We are seeking a New Space Fellow at acitoflux with a focus on Satellite Communication to support the advancement of space technologies and ventures within our innovation ecosystem.
In close collaboration with startups, industry partners and research institutions, you’ll explore cutting‑edge developments in satellite communication, help shape innovation challenges, and bring structure and visibility to a fast‑evolving field in the New Space domain.
This position is based in Hamburg or Stuttgart – starting in Q2 2026.
What you’ll do
- Dive deep into the landscape of satellite communication and emerging New Space technologies in the intersection of tech, business, and policy.
- Support the scouting and evaluation of startups and corporate solutions, research teams and tech partners in the satellite communication domain.
- Contribute to the design of innovation formats, workshops and events focused on New Space, in collaboration with our venture architects and ecosystem experts.
- Track and analyze trends, tech advancements, and key players in the field of satellite communication, both technologically as well as economically.
- Prepare insights, briefings, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support communication and coordination between startups, corporate partners, investors and research institutions.
- Help define challenge statements and co‑creation opportunities in satellite communication use cases in various industry ecosystems, such as aerospace, land mobility/automotive and maritime.
- Collaborate on storytelling and communication strategies to bring visibility to our New Space initiatives, in particular satellite communication.
- Support the organization and execution of hybrid or in‑person New Space events, meetups, or demo days.
What we’re looking for
- Currently pursuing a university master’s degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, telecommunications, physics, business innovation, or a related field.
- First internship or hands‑on experience in New Space, satellite systems, RF‑systems or innovation‑focused environments existing.
- Keen interest in the commercial (new) space ecosystem and the transformation it’s driving as well as adjacent ecosystems, such as automotive, agriculture, aviation or maritime.
- Familiarity with satellite communication technologies, regulatory frameworks, or use case applications is a plus.
- Proactive, analytical mindset – you’re not afraid of tackling ambiguity and turning it into structured output.
- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with technical and non‑technical audiences alike.
- Comfortable working with digital tools (AI, MS 365, Teams, Planner, etc.) and in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
- Fluent in English and German, other European languages are a plus.
- European mindset with an interest in international collaboration and cross‑cultural exchange.
