SCADA Automation Engineer

For one of our globally leading tech clients we are urgently looking for an experienced SCADA Automation Engineer for a long contract based in Penzberg, Germany

Key Responsibilities

• Implement integration of process and laboratory equipment with Siemens PCS 7 DCS and related automation platforms.
• Configure and support connectivity using protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, and Serial communication .
• Assist in implementing automation interfaces and integration patterns for equipment connectivity.
• Support integration of laboratory instruments with systems such as UNICORN, Empower, and Chromeleon .

Automation & System Support

• Support PLC / SCADA configuration including instrument I/O signals, interlocks, and automation logic.
• Assist in implementing automation workflows and recipe management aligned with ISA-88 standards.
• Work with vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot integration and connectivity issues.

Validation & Compliance

• Support Computerized System Validation (CSV) activities including documentation and testing.
• Participate in FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, and PQ validation activities for equipment and automation systems.
• Ensure systems follow GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11 , and ALCOA+ data integrity principles .

Key Technical Skills

• Instrument I/O and interlocks

• Automation and recipe management
• FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ validation processes
• Integration with lab systems (UNICORN, Empower, Chromeleon)
