Security Team Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Security Team Manager (STM) to lead day-to-day physical security operations at a high-profile datacenter in Frankfurt. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing and developing on-site security teams while ensuring a safe, compliant, and high-performing security operation.

About the Role

As the Security Team Manager, you will oversee a team of responders, control room supervisors, and administrative security staff. Working closely with the Campus Security Manager and fellow Security Team Managers, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining operational excellence, audit readiness, and strong client partnerships within a mission‑critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and manage site‑based security personnel, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management
• Ensure strict adherence to policies, SOPs, and compliance requirements
• Oversee daily security operations, including control room and incident response during peak or critical periods
• Manage security systems (CCTV, access control, incident management platforms) and troubleshoot as required
• Conduct audits, maintain accurate security documentation, and submit confidential reports to client stakeholders
• Act as the primary site security contact in the absence of the Campus Security Manager
• Proactively identify risks, security gaps, and opportunities for continuous improvement
• Maintain strong working relationships with datacenter leadership and internal partners

What We’re Looking For

• Proven leadership experience in physical security operations (datacenter experience strongly preferred)
• Experience managing teams in a 24/7, mission‑critical environment
• Strong knowledge of security technologies (CCTV, access control, SOC systems)
• Confident decision‑maker with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable working in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments
• Advanced IT and reporting skills (Microsoft Office required)

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in security, business management, or a related field
• Experience in security operations, with management experience
• Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
