Seeking Remote Technology Analyst (Freelance) outside of Europe

Mätch VC is a Germany-based venture capital fund investing in early-stage technology startups across Europe. We have invested in 15 companies so far (e.g. Black Forest Labs, Blockbrain or Atmos Space Cargo) and are backed by 90 investors, including Hidden Champions / family businesses (e.g. Ritter Sport, Trumpf, Vector Informatic) and experienced operators from companies like Bosch, MAN or Carl Zeiss.

We operate with a small, highly focused team of four full-time professionals. Our work is analytical, structured and execution-driven. We are now looking for remote freelance support in investor research, back office and fund operations.

Tasks

In the first months, most of your time will focus on researching and profiling potential investors (family offices, entrepreneurs, HNWIs):

• Structuring and maintaining our CRM with high precision
• Preparing short, structured background analyses and briefing notes

Depending on performance, responsibilities can expand into market and startup research:

• Supporting internal investment analyses
• Selected operational and reporting projects

This is not data entry. It requires structured thinking, accuracy and independent execution.

Requirements

The following is very important:

• You are a student or alumni of German University Cairo
• You do not live in the EU
• You need to be fluent in english AND good in German!

We are looking for profiles that combine business understanding with technical affinity. Typical backgrounds:

• Business Informatics
• Computer Science with strong business interest
• Industrial Engineering or similar
• Highly structured and analytical
• Comfortable working independently
• Genuinely interested in startups and venture capital

Absolute diligence is required. Precision matters. Small mistakes compound quickly in investor-facing work. You will learn how a high-performance, analysis-driven organization operates - with quality standards comparable to top-tier strategy environments. We expect clear thinking, clean structure and strong written communication.

Direct exposure to how a venture capital fund operates

• Close collaboration with experienced investors, insights into tech + startups + European businesses
• Flexible remote setup (5–30 hours per week, fluctuating)
• Freelance arrangement (€5-7/hour)
• Long-term collaboration preferred. This could lead to a full-time positions with visits in Germany
