Senior Account Executive – Public Sector North Rhine-Westphalia – SaaS

Location: North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany (Hybrid)

We are hiring a Senior Account Executive to lead strategic engagements with municipal public administrations across North Rhine-Westphalia. This is a high‑impact new‑business sales role selling large‑scale enterprise SaaS solutions that modernise how government organisations operate and deliver services to communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive enterprise sales cycles from prospecting through to close within municipal public entities across North Rhine-Westphalia
  • Engage senior stakeholders across political, operational, and IT governance structures to develop long‑term transformation partnerships
  • Navigate procurement frameworks, budget cycles, and multi‑stakeholder decision‑making environments (e.g., EVB‑IT, framework agreements)
  • Partner closely with internal cross‑functional teams and specialist partners to ensure value realisation and adoption
  • Manage pipeline development and forecast accuracy with strong operational discipline
  • Represent the company externally as a trusted advisor on digital transformation in public services

Candidate Profile

  • Strong track record selling enterprise SaaS or digital transformation solutions into German public administration
  • Experience winning new business in NRW municipalities or related public entities preferred
  • Deep understanding of local structures, procurement methods, buying centres, and decision‑making cycles
  • Ability to manage complex, multi‑tiered stakeholder environments and influence outcomes
  • Resilient hunter mentality with executive presence and strong consultative selling skills
  • Business fluent German and English required

Experience likely gained within

Commercial roles at leading cloud or enterprise platform vendors such as Salesforce, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, ServiceNow, Google Cloud, Adobe , or similar high‑growth technology providers supporting public‑sector modernisation.
