Senior Accountant, Lower Bavaria, Germany

Our client is looking for a skilled Senior Accountant / Financial Accountant to join their Finance team in Lower Bavaria. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Financial Accounting, supporting accurate and efficient invoice processing and payment operations.

Flexible working arrangements are available, including full-time or part-time options (minimum 20 hours per week) and hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and post incoming invoices, manage payment runs, and maintain vendor master data
• Reconcile outstanding items with suppliers and monitor payment deadlines
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Collaborate closely with purchasing, controlling, and other internal teams
• Optimize Accounts Payable processes and prepare reports and statistics
• Manage travel expense reporting

Profile:

• Completed commercial training (e.g., tax clerk, industrial clerk, or similar qualification)
• Several years of experience in Accounts Payable or financial accounting
• Strong proficiency in DATEV and MS Office, particularly Excel
• Knowledge of German accounting principles (HGB)
• Fluent in German and English
• Structured, reliable, and team-oriented working style
