Senior AI Developer

Description

We’re building an AI Tutor — a personalized learning system that adapts educational content and learning paths for each student.

We’re looking for an AI Developer with a strong backend background who can turn large language models into reliable, production‑ready features that feel native within the learning experience.

What You Will Do

You’ll join a cross‑functional team of experienced backend and frontend engineers, ML specialists, and UX/UI designers building a new generation of AI‑powered learning tools.

• Build and ship AI‑driven features that personalize the learning experience for thousands of TripleTen students across the US and Latin America.
• Design and implement backend services that integrate LLMs, retrieval systems, and external APIs into a seamless educational experience.
• Prototype and validate new AI‑powered features, then evolve successful experiments into scalable, production‑grade systems.
• Define and refine how AI behaves in the product — from context construction and tool usage to evaluation and monitoring.

Requirements

• AI integration. Experience working with LLMs and external AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, etc.); ability to orchestrate calls, manage context, caching, and prompt logic.
• Retrieval and data flow. Familiarity with RAG‑like patterns, embeddings, and vector databases to support retrieval‑based personalization.
• Product mindset. Ability to translate product goals into robust AI features, balancing performance, reliability, and cost.
• Strong backend engineering. Solid experience in Python (FastAPI) or similar backend stack; understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and cloud deployment.
• Prototyping and iteration. Comfort moving fast, experimenting, and iterating with cross‑functional teams.
• Observability and stability. Experience setting up monitoring, logging, and fallback strategies for production AI services.

Nice to have

• Experience with frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex.
• Experience building conversational or agentic systems.
