About us
cosinuss° is a certified MedTech company based in Munich and a pioneer in mobile real-time monitoring of vital parameters. For over twelve years, we have been developing in-ear sensors, algorithms, and platform solutions to capture vital data where it is physiologically most meaningful: inside the ear canal, close to the brain.
Our sensor measures, among other parameters, body temperature, oxygen saturation, heart rate, perfusion, and pulse waveform – even under extreme conditions and precisely when traditional measurement locations fail. Our vision: closing the blind spots of modern vital sign monitoring – anywhere and at any time.
Your mission
You play a key role in the development of our signal processing and machine learning algorithms for physiological data. Working with PPG and ECG signals, you transform raw biosignals into reliable vital parameters.
Your work directly impacts clinical and preclinical decision-making and forms the scientific core of our medical devices. You help bridge the gap between sensor data, physiological models, and realworld medical use – from algorithm design and validation to deployment on embedded systems
Your responsibilities
- Develop signal processing pipelines for PPG and ECG data
- Design and implement algorithms to derive vital parameters (e.g. blood pressure)
- Apply and evaluate machine learning methods for biosignal analysis
- Analyze physiological data sets, design experiments, and validate algorithms
- Collaborate closely with sensor, embedded, software, and clinical teams
- Ensure robustness, traceability, and reproducibility of algorithms in a regulated environment
- Prepare algorithms for deployment on embedded systems and resource-constrained hardware
- Contribute to technical documentation required for regulatory approval (MD)
Your profile
Must-haves
- Strong experience in data science and algorithm development
- Solid background in biosignal processing (e.g. PPG, ECG)
- Experience with machine learning methods and model evaluation
- Strong analytical thinking and structured working style
- High level of ownership and ability to work independently
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with vital parameter sensors or wearables
- Experience with medical devices or regulated industries
- Background in medical contexts (e.g. emergency medicine, preclinical care, clinical workflows, telemedicine, chronic care)
- Experience deploying models on embedded systems or microcontrollers
- Embedded C / C++ experience
- Interest in physiology, digital health, and real-world medical impact
Why us?
- Work on core algorithms used in real clinical and preclinical workflows
- High degree of freedom in algorithm design, modeling approaches, and validation
- A product with real impact for patients and medical professionals
- Interdisciplinary team combining medical, algorithmic, and engineering expertise
- Short decision paths and modern work culture
