Senior Analog IC Designer

About the Role

Join a global leader in silicon photonics, developing the next generation of electro-optical transceivers. As a Senior Analog IC Design Engineer, you will dive into a unique technical challenge: developing monolithically integrated electronic circuits that interoperate seamlessly with photonic devices. Your work will target ultra-high-speed line rates pushing the boundaries of what is possible in data center connectivity.

Your Responsibilities

• Full-Custom Circuit Design: Design high-performance analog circuits in BiCMOS, including OpAmps, Regulators, PVT-independent biasing, and high-speed control loops (AGC, CDR, etc.).
• Chip-Level Architecture: Build and manage complex chip-level schematic hierarchies within the Cadence environment.
• Interface Development: Design auxiliary circuits to interface analog ICs with I2C/SPI digital control systems.
• Physical Implementation: Apply advanced layout techniques to ensure device matching, manage current density, and minimize parasitics.
• Validation & Testing: Support IC verification to ensure spec compliance and develop testing strategies in coordination with the test engineering team.
• Product Lifecycle: Support the journey from initial design through qualification, mass production, and technical customer support.

Required Profile

• Education: M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience: 5+ years of industry experience in integrated circuit design, with a focus on I/O interfaces.
• Technical Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in the Cadence Design Framework and a deep understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing).
• Process Knowledge: Familiarity with state-of-the-art BiCMOS process technologies is highly preferred.
• Soft Skills: A proactive problem-solver and team player who thrives in a fast-paced, international high-tech environment.
• Communication: Professional fluency in English is required; German language skills are a plus.
