Senior Associate – Banking, Finance & Capital Markets BASED IN LUXEMBOURG

A leading US law firm is looking to add a Senior Associate (5–8 PQE) to its Luxembourg finance platform. This is a front-line role working on high-value, cross-border transactions for private equity sponsors, global banks and credit funds.

You will be expected to take ownership of key aspects of transactions, run workstreams, and operate as a core member of deal teams.

What You’ll Do

• Lead on leveraged finance and acquisition finance transactions, acting for sponsors and lenders
• Advise on fund finance (subscription lines, NAV facilities) and complex structured lending arrangements
• Execute capital markets transactions, including high-yield issuances and EMTN programmes, with listings on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange
• Work on securitisation and structured finance deals, including SPV structuring under the Luxembourg Securitisation Law
• Structure and enforce security packages, including share pledges governed by the Luxembourg Financial Collateral Law
• Drive drafting and negotiation of key documents (credit agreements, intercreditor agreements, security documents)
• Interface directly with clients, opposing counsel and deal counterparties
• Coordinate multi-jurisdictional transactions across US, UK and EU teams

What We’re Looking For

• US, England & Wales or Luxembourg qualified
• 5–8 years’ experience at a top-tier international firm
• Strong background in leveraged finance, private credit or capital markets
• Proven ability to run transactions and manage junior lawyers
• Commercial, responsive and comfortable in a fast-paced deal environment
