(Senior) Backend Engineer (f/m/d)

Tangany, based in Munich, is a highly innovative technology company offering a market‑leading B2B solution for the custody of digital assets on the blockchain (cryptocurrencies, tokenized assets, NFTs). Our white‑label solution is already used by more than 40 institutional customers and is regulated by the German federal financial supervisory authority, BaFin.

Tasks

Collaborate with experienced developers to enhance and maintain the foundational custody platform.

Support product owners and stakeholders as technical experts during the design of new products & features, particularly API design.

Make independent decisions about architecture, software design, and implementations.

Develop scalable, secure backend services and APIs using node.js with TypeScript.

Implement and maintain Microsoft Azure CI/CD pipelines, ensuring high quality standards that continuously deliver customer value.

Be responsible for testing, rollout, and go‑live of product increments.

Develop and enforce standards for software development, covering code quality, clean code, automated testing, deployment, diagnostics, and monitoring.

Requirements

Proven experience designing and developing REST APIs with TypeScript and node.js; NestJS is a plus.

Experience in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including Azure Functions and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, is desirable.

Knowledge of databases such as MSSQL, PostgreSQL, CosmosDB, and/or MongoDB.

In‑depth knowledge of web architectures, API design, and OAuth2‑based authentication methods.

Experience in software security and automated testing is an advantage.

Experience with low‑code platforms like Retool is a plus.

Interest in blockchain technology is essential; technical blockchain know‑how is an advantage.

Fluency in English (at least B2); German is a plus.
