Job Overview

This is a 1 year fixed term role with Client on Client payroll. We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture to build and scale backend systems in a cloud-native environment. The role requires a hands-on engineer who can deliver high-quality services while contributing to architectural discussions and system design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Design and maintain microservices-based architectures
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams
• Participate in architecture discussions and code reviews
• Ensure code quality through testing and engineering best practices
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system performance
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes

Must-Have Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend development experience
• Strong expertise in Java (8+) and Spring Boot
• Experience designing and building microservices architectures
• Strong experience building REST APIs and backend services
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and build tools
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments
