In the context of our exponential growth, we are strengthening our internal engineering team and opening a Senior Backend Software Engineer position in our Routing Squad.

About the Routing Squad

Due to company growth and the corresponding increase in the complexity of our existing routing system, we’re forming a new squad – the Routing Squad.

The Routing Squad will own the system that connects customers to the right agents – the core of our platform. We will build and maintain the routing engine that decides which agent handles each interaction, whether it’s a phone call (incoming or outgoing), an email, a chat, an SMS, or a social media message. Our work will include managing agent availability and skills, as well as queue logic, routing rules, and priorities.

In the upcoming year we plan to:

Extract the routing module from an existing service into a separate microservice to improve overall platform stability and speed up development by separating responsibilities.
Adapt the routing system to challenging market demands by unifying inbound and outbound channel routing, adding interaction scoring, implementing a weight distribution system, and introducing customizable routing rules and more.

Team Composition and Growth

The team currently consists of:

1 Backend Developer
1 Product Manager
1 Team Lead

We’re aiming to grow to a team of up to 10 people across domains (Backend and QA Engineers, and Product Managers).

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a seasoned backend engineer with substantial experience in Java, relational databases, distributed systems, and leadership potential.

10+ years in software development within product-focused companies, with at least 5+ years working extensively in Java .
Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
Experience with Spring Boot would be a plus.
Experience in designing and implementing effective distributed systems. Ability to make architectural decisions and evaluate their impact on system performance, scalability, and reliability.
Strong autonomy and leadership potential, with a willingness to grow into a lead role.
Comfortable working with and improving an existing codebase.
Strong engineering culture, attention to the details, business-centric mindset.
