It’s used by energy suppliers, trading houses, industrial companies and municipal utilities, creating a vibrant network of market participants.

Founded in 2016, enmacc is a fast‑growing scale‑up with a team of 100+ people spread across Europe. We’re passionate about energy, technology and building something that makes a real impact.

Your Mission

Join us in providing OTC access to the European energy trading market. As a Senior Business Intelligence Manager you will leave your mark in redefining how energy traders work. This is a hands‑on, individual‑contributor role focused on defining and executing our data strategy.

Your Responsibilities / What You’ll Do

The Senior BI Manager will be the driving force behind the transformation of our data platform, shifting the organization from static reporting to predictive, AI‑driven decision‑making and advanced data insights. This role reports to the Head of Data and is focused on technical leadership and execution, not people management.

I. Strategic Data & AI Leadership

  • Roll‑out Advanced Self‑Service: define and execute strategy for utilizing Gen AI and Agentic BI/LLMs to create conversational/intuitive self‑service capabilities across the organization.
  • Establish the Semantic Layer: take ownership of modelling and implementing a robust semantic data layer (e.g., using tools like dbt) to ensure consistent definition, calculation and quality of all business metrics and KPIs.
  • Drive Data Governance: establish and enforce comprehensive data governance standards, policies and processes across departments to ensure data quality, compliance, security and integrity, treating data as a critical company asset.
  • Strategic Sparring Partner: act as a strategic partner to executive leadership and department heads to define, standardise and implement effective, measurable KPIs that align with business strategy.

II. Team Leadership & Cultural Enablement

  • Elevate Team Capability: provide hands‑on guidance, coaching and mentorship to junior team members, rapidly upskilling them in modern Data Science, ML operationalisation and advanced analytics techniques.
  • Foster a Data Culture: actively foster and promote a robust data‑driven culture and data self‑service across the organization, providing the necessary training, tools and documentation for departmental users to access and interpret standardised data independently.
  • Resource Management: drive day‑to‑day operations of the BI/Data Science team (currently 3 head‑count); align OKRs, manage workloads and ensure timely, high‑quality execution of strategic data projects.

III. Technical Execution & Data Science

  • Advanced Analytics & AI/ML: personally contribute to and oversee the development of advanced Data Science projects, including training, deploying and maintaining regression, time‑series forecasting and clustering models that deliver predictive and prescriptive insights.
  • Agentic BI Implementation: lead the evaluation, piloting and training of Agentic BI/LLMs on our proprietary data to enable non‑technical users to query and analyse data using natural language.

Your Profile / What You’ll Need

  • 5+ years experience in business intelligence, ideally in a start‑up/tech/software environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI etc.
  • Experience with conversational/agentic BI tools (specific experience with ThoughtSpot is a plus).
  • Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases; experience with AWS and BigQuery is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Ideally – knowledge of data analysis with Python/R and experience working with data scientists.
  • Working knowledge of data pipelines.
  • Developed people skills with experience in stakeholder management.
  • Business acumen – ability to bridge between BI and other departments.
  • Strong team player with a low‑ego personality.
  • Comfortable working at both conceptual level and detailed implementation.
  • Graduate in business informatics, business, economics, computer science or a related quantitative field.

Our Offer / What You’ll Get

  • Entrepreneurial company culture with flat hierarchies.
  • Competitive remuneration scheme.
  • Learning & development: a personal development plan with a dedicated budget and 5 days off for further personal and professional growth.
  • Being part of a supportive, persistent, curious and fun culture.
