Senior Civil Engineer for Underground Infrastructure (m/w/d) - Gigafactory Berlin - Brandenburg

What To Expect

As a Design Engineer in Tesla's Civil team, you will be responsible for design development of civil infrastructure projects following the HOAI phases of design / equivalent from concept to execution for all kind of infrastructure project i.e. Underground utility infrastructure such as rainwater, drinking- and sewage water, pressure lines (Gas, Hydrant lines) and traffic infrastructure such as roads, parking areas, pedestrian areas, etc.

What You'll Do

• Develop design for civil infrastructure projects equivalent of HOAI phases of design / equivalent from concept to execution for all kind of infrastructure project i.e. roads, parking areas, pedestrian, infiltration basins, etc.
• Work in a team of Civil engineers, traffic simulation and drafters also with focus on priorities in the project
• Working knowledge of German building codes and civil infrastructure design standards.
• Participate in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, permitting design, schematic design, design development at various stages, construction documents and production, RFI and field validation work
• Recent understanding of BlmSchG projects and projects in water protection
• Experience with complicated infrastructures with analysis of tradeoffs for a vehicle factory on tight timeline and building
• Collaborate with design team, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project
• Produce graphic presentations, and construction
• Assist with the review of RFI’s and Submittals during the construction administration portion of the
• Drive and obtain permits with all local authorities and departments
• Perform design option analysis for cost efficiency, constructability, etc.

What You'll Bring

• Master’s degree in civil or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
• Minimum of 5 years of related project
• Ability to work with non clear defined targets and minimum of
• Experience working with permitting, procurement, construction and checking engineers, coordinating multiple manufacturing, operation and engineering
• Proficiency in 2D/3D software,
• Knowledge of relevant civil codes, hydraulic design, environmental
• German and English proficiency required; more is a plus
