Senior Cloud Network Engineer (f/m/d)

The Network Engineering team at Deutsche Börse Group (DBG) is a dynamic, globally distributed unit responsible for the architecture, implementation, and operation of DBG's mission-critical trading networks. Our mandate is to deliver highly reliable, low-latency trading data services to a global clientele. With team members in Frankfurt and Prague, we work in close partnership with our Data Center and Server Operations teams to provide integrated and seamless IT services that power the world's financial markets.

Within this context, you will contribute to the design and operation of hybrid and cloud-based network solutions, ensuring secure and efficient connectivity for critical trading environments. You will help drive innovation and modernization in a highly regulated capital markets environment.

Your responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage cloud network infrastructure across GCP and Azure.
• Deliver hybrid and cloud connectivity solutions (ExpressRoute, Interconnect, VPN).
• Troubleshoot complex network issues, ensuring high availability and low latency.
• Manage and operate SaaS-based cloud network solutions.
• Execute, maintain, and improve operational processes, ensuring compliance and service excellence.
• Conduct incident investigation, communication, and resolution.
• Perform out-of-business-hours support activities and participate in on-call rotation.
• Create, maintain, and report KPIs.
• Support internal and external audit activities and resolve findings.
• Support creation of Security Baselines for new Cloud Networking services and Risk Assessments of Cloud Network topics
• Adhere strictly to corporate processes, standards, and operational procedures.
• Investigate and implement automation for network operations where relevant.

Your profile:

• University degree in Information Technology, Electronics, Engineering, or comparable.
• 5–10 years of experience in network and connectivity within hybrid cloud environments (GCP & Azure).
• Expertise in SaaS-based networking solutions.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform in production environments.
• Strong background in traditional networking (Routing/Switching, IP Addressing & Subnetting, Network Protocols).
• Customer-oriented mindset with experience in interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
• Previous experience operating complex, highly critical network infrastructures, ideally in financial environments.
• Excellent analytical skills and structured thinking.
• Highly organized, autonomous, and committed to quality with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Full proficiency in written and spoken English.
