Role Description

Join our Sustainable Operations team at one of our German locations (e.g., Darmstadt, Berlin, Stuttgart, Munich, Cologne) as a Transaction Advisory Consultant. In an established team, you will support clients with due diligence services for acquisition, merger, and divestiture of industrial and commercial sites. As a Senior Consultant you will collaborate with colleagues, experts and client stakeholders across international and domestic teams.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and lead proposals and projects in Environmental Due Diligence and related areas such as EHS compliance.
Conduct and coordinate Environmental Due Diligence reviews for industrial and commercial transactions, following ASTM standards and current EHS and sustainability criteria.
Maintain and audit high quality standards for proposals and projects.
Mentor and develop junior team members.

Qualifications & Experience

Completed university degree in Geosciences, Natural, Environmental or Engineering sciences (or equivalent).
Minimum 5 years of practical experience in due diligence projects at consulting firms.
Relevant experience leading Environmental Due Diligence projects, including bid preparation, stakeholder coordination, risk budget assessment and invoicing.
Knowledge of German environmental and occupational protection law.
Experience with extended due diligence projects such as EHS or ESG due diligence.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
Strong problem‑solving skills.
Passion for high‑quality work and continuous improvement.
Excellent and proactive communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
Independent, structured work style, entrepreneurial thinking and action.
Interdisciplinary mindset with solid analytical abilities and team spirit.
Fluent German and English, both written and spoken.
Experience in related areas such as ESG, permitting for infrastructure and industry plants, product stewardship, decarbonisation or application of digital EHS software solutions.
Willingness to travel.
